About us
For us, every product is unique. That's why we approach every task with a fresh view, commitment, and emphasis. Hard work, team spirit, punctuality, dependability, and a focus on solutions are not empty words for us. They are the virtues inextricably bound to a long-lasting commercial success. They create quality of the highest standard, ever improving production methods and a good, solid customer relationship.
We are and always will be engineers. Precision, construction, and calculations determine our work. Still, you will find much more than just the results of engineering skills and technological progress. We are proud of the ‚complete package‘: development, production, quality management, support, speed, and product variety. Everything we develop, construct and manufacture is perfectly tuned and composed to your needs.
We are passionate. This passion directly influences out work ethic and our services. Apart from exceptional technical competence, you can expect extremely fast response times, speedy delivery, a special customer focus, and great flexibility.
Construct develop
For the construction and development of plastic parts it is important to consider the construction-specific features of plastics, because you can only be successful if you know and consider the particular material properties and production methods.
It all starts with the choice of suitable material and the questions: which purpose? What quantity? Which visual appearance? How complex? What method? One mistake, one omission can influence the cost of the part immensely. The tool is often matched to the plastic according to a number of parameters (shrinkage, processing temperature etc.) as opposed to the other way round. A change later on in the process is then either very expensive or impossible.
Our construction- and development-engineers and process technicians not only have the necessary knowledge of materials, construction, design, and the development of plastic parts, they also have the necessary technology ( CAD, for example)
When you commission development, prototyping, tools, or logistics from us, your Hesse engineer is your personal contact and the link to our in-house construction- and development-professionals. This means you benefit directly from a frictionless process and a smooth transition to production.
Prototyping
In prototyping and ‘rapid prototyping’ we utilise different technologies – depending on which is the most suitable for your project:
- Thermoforming
By using high-tech materials we can produce tools within the space of a few hours. Those parts can then be finished during an additional step using other methods such as CNC-milling. With these tools we can produce quantities of up to 100 pieces. - Plastic mills
Even complex geometries can be milled quickly and the resulting milled parts dispatched on time. Our technicians and facilitates make it possible. - Laser cutting
In our high-tech laser cutter, we cut simple geometries quickly, dependably and cost-effectively. - 3D printing
Do you need a model for the planning phase? With the help of our modern 3D printer we can offer you a 3D printed model - as a single unit or in small quantities.
Please let us guide you through your Prototyping process. Contact us here for further Information and individual consultation.
Quality Management System
Our certified quality management system
Our certified quality management system not only documents and improves our own systems and processes but also supports the processes of our customers and suppliers. Our ISO 9001:2015 quality management system, certified by Dekra, is subject to constant improvement and adaptation.
Both through our own quality department and our employees, as well as by customers, suppliers and external bodies.
Our certificate can be downloaded here.
Assembly
Assembling, adhering, riveting, welding, screwing, cutting, and clamping: in the interest of perfect customer service, we developed our very own assembly back in 1995 – exclusively geared towards and specialised in all of these technologies. Even back then, we thought that our customers should have access to one-stop solutions and perfectly finished products. That is why we made the process chains quick and the distances short.
Configuration of the deep drawn components with additional functionality, fitting of seals and stiffening frames, bonding of plastic/plastic and plastic/metal, attaching safety guards, mounting hinges, sensors, or other electrical components: we supply simple and complex modules to all sectors of the industry. Our final assembly’s production spectrum is vast and covered seamlessly by our highly trained colleagues.
The professional bonding of plastics, for example, is something that only few have mastered. To achieve a lasting adhesion, in-depth knowledge of glues and available gluing systems is indispensable. Equally important is an expert knowledge of the surface structure of the parts because their bond is directly dependent on the substrate surface. Our polymer-chemistry engineers have that expertise. They have been utilising it successfully in our customers’ projects and developments – for decades.
The quality of welded parts is primarily a result of the welding technician's abilities. Our process technicians for plastic- and rubber-technology have been trained by us. They have the necessary expertise and practical experience and are happy to meet any challenge head on. In close consultation with our engineers, we can produce containers, troughs, covers, or prototypes from semi-manufactured products such as polyethylene, polypropylene, acrylonitrile butadiene styrene, or polystyrene in top quality and no time at all.
Logistics
Of course, we make sure that your goods reach you on time and in perfect condition. But, that is not what we actually mean when we talk about ‚logistics‘. When we talk about ‚logistics’ we mean ‚lean production‘ or, in other words, the ideal combination of production, warehousing, batch management, and economic efficiency.
From sourcing materials to (post-) production, utilisation of remnants and parts storage, our inventory-control and -management works smoothly. The advantages are: good plannability, better use of space, more efficient production methods, and even faster delivery times for standard parts.
Just one fax or phone call is enough and we get going. And, if you wish, our system informs you about expiring contracts and agreements and repeat orders are made almost fully automatic.
Our inventory control is not just good for us, it delivers a host of real Advantages to our customers.
Our 8 values
Behind every successful project is close teamwork. These values are particularly important to us:
-
Honesty
We voice our opinions. What we deem to be correct is precisely what we communicate. We always stick to the facts. -
Openness
We are open to new things and accept change willingly. We see change as a chance for further improvements and developments. -
Community
Everyone has strengths that can be utilised for shared goals. We use our synergies and contribute our strengths actively. We agree that only as a team can we make the company successful. -
Support
We stand for strong collaborations and help each other voluntarily. We vouch for one another – true to the motto ‘One for all and all for one. ‘ -
Understanding
We put ourselves in each other’s shoes and try to understand their point of view. That applies to the entire company. We treat all persons and situations respectfully and appreciatively. Always. -
Discipline
We stick to agreements and rules. We distinguish ourselves as conscientious and binding. -
Constructive
We acknowledge good performances and praise each other. We motivate each other and and praise promptly. -
Trust
We trust each other and don’t think about whether there might be a catch. We avoid distrust. We speak about valid doubts and resolve them.
Deep drawing of plastic
The deep drawing of plastic is also known as thermoforming, vacuum deep drawing, thermoforming and thermoforming. Thermoforming is a mechanical forming process used to shape a plastic sheet, also known as a semi-finished product, under the influence of heat.
Firstly, a plastic sheet with thermoplastic properties is required. This sheet is heated on both sides. This puts the plastic material into an elastic state. First, air is blown under the sheet so that it bulges outwards. The air is then extracted and a vacuum is created under the plate. By sucking out the air, the plastic moulds itself around the tool. Once the plastic has been moulded into the desired shape, it is cooled down to a certain temperature at which it is dimensionally stable. The machine now blows air under the thermoformed part so that it can be removed from the mould.
When are plastic parts worthwhile?
Thermoformed plastic parts have a number of advantages: these moulded parts are light, stable and attractive, among other things.
One of the biggest advantages is probably the high level of cost-effectiveness. For small to medium quantities, the mould costs are relatively low compared to other processes. In addition, large plastic parts can also be produced.
Plastic recycling
Plastic recycling is important to us: during thermoforming production, the process generates waste because the plastic sheet has to be larger than the thermoformed part due to the stretching and because the plastic sheet is clamped at the edge by the so-called clamping frame.
What do we do with it? The so-called edge trimmings are sorted by type and colour. The individual types are shredded and prepared for dispatch directly at our site in Weeze on the Lower Rhine. They are then regranulated by our sister company Saneo Plastic GmbH, i.e. reprocessed into granulate to produce new plastic sheets that are used in our company. It is therefore a closed cycle.
